John Heller

Advisor

John Heller is dedicated to collective innovation for social, human and environmental well-being. Most recently, Heller served as Chief Executive of the Presencing Institute, dedicated to systems-level transformation on critical global issues. Prior to the Presencing Institute, Heller served as CEO of Little Sun, which focused on affordable access to clean energy in Africa and on integrating arts and culture into the renewable energy field. Earlier, Heller served as Managing Director of the Synergos Institute where he created and led a social-purpose consultancy that enabled companies and philanthropic organizations to advance social impact. Heller also mobilized large-scale collaborations that helped to reduce maternal mortality in Namibia, advance agricultural transformation in Nigeria and enhance aboriginal peoples’ quality of life in Western Canada.

Mr. Heller has also worked with the Council on International Educational Exchange, the Open Society Institute, and the Population and Community Development Association. He served for two years as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Thailand. Heller speaks Thai and Spanish and holds a BA in Sociology from Haverford College and an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University. He won the Haverford College Award for Service to Humanity in 2014. He is currently Board Chair of the Art for Climate Lab and a trustee of the Kahane Family Foundation and the Heller Foundation. He lives in New York and is married with three children.
